While making cheese can be a complicated process there are some types like cottage cheese that are actually quite easy to make writing your own kitchen and don’t require any fancy equipments are starter blends. Here’s a quick recipe to make your own cottage cheese at home. 1. Heat 1 gallon of 2% milk until it reaches 190°F 2. Add one half cup vinegar 3. Let the vinegar and milk mixture cool This will result in a curdled mixture that consists of curds and whey. Separate out the curds by putting it in a colander or strainer. You may want to line it with cheese cloth or coffee filters to keep any small curds from escaping. Add salt and other spices to taste.
