String Cheese - It's Fun To Eat

Who doesn't love cheese?  Is he taste in your most makes it a great snack by itself or with other foods.  Cheese has been a delicacy for centuries but perhaps the most fun cheese to eat his string cheese.

It's no wonder why many people enjoy their cheese as they are, not as supplements for dishes, not as additives for other food, and not as mere dips or dressings for their meals. They'd rather enjoy their cheese as a meal in itself, or as a snack food so to speak. Often, people prepare some slices of cheese and enjoy them as they are.

String cheese does not really refer to the processing in the cheese but more to the shape and consistency.  String cheese can be shaped like a string or the more fun type, is shaped like a tube but you peel off pieces of cheese in a string like form.  There is no need for slicing and you can eat them right out of the package.

String cheese often comes in pieces of 6 inches in length and 1 inch in diameter. This serving is considered large enough for a light snack. People often carry a pack of this cheese type for picnics, movie dates, and even for recess breaks during the workdays.

These cheeses are usually made out of mozzarella because this is a very hard cheese and it's easy to mold into the shapes required.  The strings will not become misshapen or melted during shipping.  Other types of cheese can be used but they do need stricter preservation methods and will require refrigeration and temperature control.

Since the edible cycle of the string cheese has to be preserved for as long as possible, it has a rather high salt content. Hence, large consumption of the same is not really suggested, especially for those in a low sodium diet.

These strings can be had in a bunch of different flavors including a garlic, an onion in the sour cream. You can even get a barbecue flavor and fruit flavor.

Children, of course, have become the primary market for these dairy strings. Though no one can resist cheese, children cannot resist the natural presentation of these strings. This may be an excellent development, given the fact that cheese is made from milk, hence, can provide the calcium required for the optimal growth of the younger generation.
